Born as the only child of both Norman Osborn and his wife, Emily , one would anticipate nothing but fortune, privilege and opportunity sprinkled with life's odd ups and downs that afflict us all whether we be the heir to a company whose presence can be found in every corner of New York City to a Daily Bugle photographer just trying to make ends meet. And, in a way you would be right however, perhaps tragedy lingers more than you may anticipate when you glimpse behind the door of the Osborn family.The death of Emily Osborn left a hole in a family once so seemingly full, even if it was only those closest to them that could see the distance that now took shape the gazes of Norman and his son, whose worlds had crumbled and slipped away between their fingertips. And Harry was changed though by how much was something his company only saw in the rare, one-off glimpses. A new purpose had been weighed onto teenage shoulders, a responsibility, and he was going to spend the remainder of his life trying to bring it to its fullest fruition for he refused to let the work of his mother die with her. No, he was going to nurture it, give it new life in her name whilst ensuring what she had left behind could continue to flourish as she intended. Harry refused to let his mother's efforts be in vain or to be neglected by an Oscorp board whose only goal was financial gain, the trail they left behind be damned. His dreams for future profession and career path could no longer be dreams - he had to make them reality.And so his efforts were poured into his desire to do good. To aid, to encourage and insight change by walking down the same path as Emily once had - the trail of an environmental lawyer (or, in his case, attorney) and, despite his struggles with academia, he persevered, intent on being worthy of the destiny he felt now bestowed him. But a problem had begun to arise. It began rather small, you know how it is. Those occasional 'off' days where you felt stress just might be getting the better of you (you'll sleep it off, no biggie), nights of stomach upset where the bathroom floor and a toilet were your best friend and you were unable to keep anything down (it was only once or twice, what's the harm? No need to panic), the headaches that go on for days (most likely a migraine, it'll pass). Until it is no longer 'on occasion,' it is once every three days. Until you eat less to stop the cramps that start to rush through your stomach. Until those migraines leave you bedridden for days and your only excuse to those who question you is that you are suffering from a hangover from hell. Until your legs start to struggle to balance and you need monitors and drips by your bedside in fear that you may not wake up tomorrow. Until the realisation that your body is killing you with the very same hand - a genetic condition known as Oshtoran Syndrome - that stole the life of your mother. Harry Osborn was dying and he hadn't even lived yet.GR-27, the bastard, was close, Norman could feel it. But it was taking too long. He had been saying the same thing for years but he no longer had the time to waste. The last time he had stalled cost him the life of the woman he loved and he refused to allow it to happen again. So, a temporary solution was needed, something to keep Harry alive as progress was made yet nothing of that nature could be developed at a fast enough pace. Not with the resources from Earth anyway.And so, in the summer of a distant July, Harry Osborn stepped into a treatment that he would be intertwined with until the year of 2021, bonding with a symbiote obtained from a crashing meteor collected by Oscorp themselves and being kept hidden within the walls of the Osborn Penthouse behind a code and picture frame (and a false trip to Europe to clear up such a prolonged absence) and, most importantly, being kept alive with the likes of Dr. Curtis Connors keeping a watchful eye on his every movement. In this tank, his illness was at bay. In this tank, Norman had Harry where he wanted him and in this tank, the beginning of the end had begun.And not a soul could have ever anticipated the consequences before the final curtain was to fall. ONGOING TRIVIA. 

  • In his teens, Harry was not only a member of Midtown High's Glee Club but he was also a performer within their theatrical department alongside Mary Jane, the pair often starring side-by-side in Spring and Winter productions put on by the high school (and previously in their Middle School) each year. This pursuit was encouraged by Emily, who was also the one to teach her son basic piano. Following his mother's passing, Harry distanced himself from the performing arts sector to plant a firmer fixation on his pursuits in the biochemistry field but would offer his presence on occasion as they drew closer to senior year. Upon graduation, he offered additional funding aid to the sector in order to support future pursuits and performances.

  • It was thanks to the convincing and input of Harry's mother that he was no longer an attendee of private schools as he aged, primarily because of Harry's inability to fully fit in and thrive in that space. It is due to this that he proceeded to go to a public middle school in New York where he would eventually meet MJ Watson and Peter Parker.

  • Harry, in his youth, was educated at Horace Mann School where he met his childhood best friend, Gwendolyne Stacy , the daughter of George Stacy, a Captain within the New York Police Department. They were inseparable until the Stacy family took on a move to England following a job opportunity for Gwen's father that he couldn't refuse halfway through 8th grade, the pair already drifting somewhat apart because of the move of schools Harry had partaken in. The pair would write on occasion however, by Sophomore year, the contact faded and the two of them haven't spoken since.

  • Growing up, Harry was quite the comic fanatic and to this day has a collection that he keeps in a shoe box in his bedroom closet. He also was an avid Avenger fan, as many would anticipate and dressed up as Iron Man for Halloween when he was eight (to Norman's dismay) with a costume he had crafted from cardboard .

  • He had tried out for the Midtown basket ball team during Freshman Year however, hadn't made the cut. But despite not making the team nor trying out again the following year as a result of Emily's death, it never stopped his passion for the sport (perhaps the only one he would show a genuine interest in) and he and Peter would often partake in their own tournaments whenever they saw fit.

  • The main influence for Harry's music taste was his mother, who would often introduce him to new pieces either by playing them to him first-hand (the two of them sometimes cooking together where they would dance to CDs, the radio or vinyls Emily would put on in the kitchen) or through Harry being gifted mixtapes and CDs his mother had once owned when she was younger for him to try out and report back to her on.

  • Harry's primary display of affection is gift giving . If you are a close companion of the Osborn boy or hold an immense meaning to him, you can ensure that he will spoil and shower you with extravagance whenever he is able.
